I am a North American artist who specializes in still life and landscape oil painting.  I began painting at a very young age and experimented with various mediums before discovering and falling in love with oils. I studied art privately as a teenager, and then majored in fine arts, painting, at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I graduated summa cum laude. Having been raised with an appreciation for nature and a love of beauty, my aim is to translate my unique aesthetic into my work. I specialize in still life because it allows me to create my own compositions, and to enjoy the challenge of rendering various surfaces and textures.  I have received numerous awards for my work due to my attention to detail and understanding of color.  My work may be found in homes and galleries across the United States, as well as internationally, and has been featured in several art publications.  

I recently published my first children’s book, entitled”Hannah Banana’s Perfect Day”, that follows the exploits of my standard poodle, Hannah. I both wrote and illustrated the book. I am busily working on the follow-up to it. 

I reside in South Carolina with my beloved Hannah.

Inspiration

I am inspired by  the natural world, as well as manmade objects, and by how the two may perfectly coexist. My goal is to offer you a point of view that will remind you of the wealth of beauty that surrounds us.
